Invitation for Pre-Qualification at Abis State Polytechnic

1.0 Introduction
Following the approval in principle received from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for the execution of the 2011 Intervention Projects, the Abia State Polytechnic, Aba wishes to invite reputable and competent contractor/supplier/procurement firms to apply for pre-qualification and tendering of the underlisted projects.

2.0 Scope of Work
The scope of work to be carried out include the following projects:

10. Procurement of 1No. Leaser Colour Printer CP1515/1215
11. Procurement of 3Nos Lesser Jet Printer P20S5
12. Procurement of 1No AR-SI 27(27 Copies Per Minute)
13. Procurement of 1No Drum AR 27 1DM
14. Procurement of 1No Developer AR 271LD
15. Procurement of 1No Toner AR-27 OT
16. VAT 5%

3.0 Pre-Qualification Criteria
Interested contractors/suppliers/procurement firms are invited to submit the following pre-qualification documents, on which information, evaluation will be based.

• Evidence of incorporation or Business Name Registration.
• Evidence of registration with Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.
• Company’s current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
• VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittance.
• Evidence of financial capability and banking support backed by bank statement and audit report.
• Verifiable evidence of previous experience in procurements of similar nature. (Attach letters of Award and Certificates of Completion).
• Evidence of business relationship with reputable manufacturers of equipment.

4.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
Interested bidders are expected to obtain Pre-qualification Forms from the Office of the Bursar, Abia State Polytechnic, Aba on payment of the sum of Ni 7.500.00 (Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) only.
Twenty (20) copies of the completed Pre-qualification to Tender Form and supporting documents should be returned to the undersigned in a sealed envelope marked with the name and LOT(s) number(s) of the category of equipment of interest.

5.0 Closing Date
Submission of application should be made within two weeks from date of publication. Applications received thereafter will not be entertained.

6.0 Additional Information

• Notwithstanding the submission of pre-qualification data, the Abia State Polytechnic is neither committed nor obligated to include any company on any bid/tender list or award any form of contract to any company or agent.
• This advertisement shall not be construed as commitment on the part of the Abia State Polytechnic; nor shall it entitle a participating company to make any claim(s) whatsoever or seek any Indemnity from the Abia State Polytechnic by virtue of such company having responded to this advertisement
