Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the 2011 Tertiary Education Trust Fund Intervention in Library Development

1.0 Introduction
The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has allocated fund and granted Approval-in-Principle under its 2011 TETFund intervention in Library Development to the Kwara State University, Malete which the University intends to use for the execution of the projects listed below:-

2.0 The Projects
Interested and competent contractors with experience in the handling of similar projects, are invited to submit pre-qualification documents for the following projects:-

Procurement of Library Books for Library Development Broken Down into the Following Lots:-
Lot 1:- Procurement of Reference Books
Lot 2:- Procurement of Assorted Books in College of Humanities, Management& Social Sciences
Lot 3:- Procurement of Assorted Books in Education, Library, Information Science, Computer Science and Mass Communication
Lot 4:- Procurement of Assorted Books in Science and Engineering

3.0 Requirements and Arrangement of Pre-Qualification Documents
The required pre-qualification documents should be arranged in the following order:

• Evidence of Incorporation or Business Registration
• Registration with relevant bodies at State/Federal levels
• Company’s Audited Account
• 3 years Tax Clearance Certificate
• Evidence of payment of Education Tax
• Evidence of Financial Capability and Banking support
• Company’s Technical Qualifications and Experience of key staff
• Similar verifiable Projects executed
• Equipment and Technology Capacity (where applicable)
• Evidence of Trade/Technical partnership or affiliation with manufacturers (where applicable)
• Contract Registration with KWASU in the appropriate category
• Annual Turnover of the Company
• VAT Registration and evidence of remittances
• Satisfactory history with KWASU (if any)
• Full details of Company profile
• Any other details that will enhance your application

4.0 Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
All pre-qualification documents are to be packaged in wax-sealed envelopes marked “2011 TETfund Intervention in Library Development” and submitted to:

Closing Date
January 24th, 2013

5.0 Note:

• A non-refundable Pre-qualification fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira only (N25,000.00) must be paid to the University;
• This advertisement is not an invitation to Tender. Full tendering information and instructions shall be sent only to the Companies that are found pre-qualified and screened; -
• The University will not go into correspondence on account of unsuccessful applications.
