Invitations for Bid (IFB) for Pre-Installation Upgrade for the Equipping of the Women and Children’s Hospital, Ewohimi

Edo State Government in its desire to improve the quality of health care delivery to the peoples of the State especially the vulnerable group constructed a Women and Children hospital at Ewohimi in Esan- South East LGA of the State. To ensure proper functionality of this facility, effort is being made to provide the necessary furnishings and equipment, hence; a pre-installation upgrade is to be carried out.

2. The Edo state Ministry of Health now invites necessary sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of Pre-installation upgrade for the equipping of the Women and Children’s hospital, Ewohimi as shown below:

Items: Overhaul of Ewohimi Women and Children hospital
Description: Preliminaries of upgrading

• Upgrading of out patient dept
• Upgrading of theatre and Delivery block
• Overhaul of Mortuary
• Upgrading of kitchen/ Laundry block
• Upgrading of Radiology unit
• Upgrading off Laboratory

Qty: various
Bid Security: 3% of bid price
Delivery Schedule from Date of Contract Award: 3weeks from date of award
Delivery Location: Ewohimi Women and Children’s hospital

Eligibility

• Evidence of registration with the Ministry of Works
• Evidence of up to date Tax Clearance
• Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission
• Evidence of adequacy of working capital for the contract
• Evidence of similar lob

3.) Bidding documents may be obtained at the Due process office in the Department of Planning, Research and Statistic, Ministry of Health, King Square, Benin City between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays except on public holiday, upon submission of a written request and payment of a non refundable fee of Ni 5,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only, in cashiers cheque or bank draft payable to Edo State Ministry of Health. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same office.

4.) Bids shall be valid for a period of 14 days and shall be delivered to the Due Process office in the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics, Ministry of Health, King Square, Benin City on or before 11.30am of 7th February 201 3(closing/opening day) at which time they will be opened in presence of the bidders or representatives who wish to attend.

5.) Bids shall be opened at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Golf Course Road Benin- City at 11.00am of 7th February 2013.
