Tender for the Manufacture/Supply of Pilgrims Suitcases for 2013 Hajj Exercise at National Hail Commission of Nigeria

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), invites National and International Companies with requisite experience to submit quotations for the manufacture/supply of pilgrims’ 32kg standard suitcases and 8kg hand trolleys for the 2013 Hajj.

Technical Specifications
a) The specifications of the 32kg suitcase should be:

• Size of 75 x 50 x 24cm
• Outer PVC cover of Eva hard sheet material.
• Inner silk lining
• Rubber tyres (Wheels) at both bottom edges
• Top rubberized handle with condensed plastic cover resting on the ribbet and inner protective plastic piping.

b) The specifications of the 8kg shall be:

• Size of 50 x 35 x 220cm
• Outer PVC cover of Eva hard sheet material
• Inner Silk lining
• Rubber tyres (Wheels) at the bottom with aluminium sliding handle trolley.
• Collapsible in design (i.e. without the inner plastic protective piping

c) The suitcases and hand trolleys are expected to be produced in different selected colour codes (to be specified by the Commission) with the Nigerian National colours boldly displayed on both sides.

d) The supplier / manufacturer shall visibly display TATA prohibited items on both sides of the suitcases and hand trolley bags.

Company Requrmesits

• Certificate of Incorporation.
• A certified true copy of the Company’s Forms C02 and C07
• A copy of the Company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association.
• Audited accounts of the Company for the last three years
• Valid /Verifiable Tax clearance certificate for the last three years.
• Evidence of VAT registration and remittance.
• One sample each of the 32kg and 8kg hand luggage.
• Manufacturers/suppliers that have supplied suitcases before must tender a clearance letter of satisfactory and efficient service delivery from the State they supplied to in the past.

Mode of Application
Prospective manufacturing companies and suppliers shall indicate their interest by:

• Submitting a written indication of interest addressed to:

            The Chairman/CEO,
            National Hajj Commission of Nigeria,
            No. 1 First Avenue, Off Ahmadu Bello Way,
            Abuja.

• Paying a non-refundable application fee of five hundred thousand naira only (N 500,000.00) in certified bank draft payable to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
• Collecting an application form from the Commissions Secretary at the Commission’s headquarters at the above mentioned address.
• Submission of the duly completed form along with copies of all relevant documents on or before four weeks from the date of this publication.
• Appear for screening on a date to be communicated after receipt of the application.

Successful Companies are to note that:

• They shall pay a licensing fee of five hundred thousand naira (500,000.00).
• They shall canvass for patronage from state Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards/Commissions/ Agencies.
• They shall provide a bank guarantee to the State that patronized them.
• They shall deliver the 8kg hand (trolley) bags in Nigeria while the 32kg suitcase will be delivered in Saudi Arabia, not later than July 30th, 2013.
