Invitation to Tender at Government of Rivers State of Nigeria, Ministry of Chieftaincy and Community Affairs Port Harcourt

Introduction: The Rivers State Ministry of Chieftaincy and Community Affairs conforming with the vision and determination of the State Governor, His Excellency, The Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to bequeath to the State the highest standard of comfort for all citizens of the State especially our Royal fathers, hereby invite reputable contractors to tender for the Construction of a standard Conference Hall/Office Complex for the State Council of Traditional Rulers at the Council Secretariat in Port Harcourt.

2.0 Scope of Work: The scope of work shall include the construction of the a New Story Building with such facilities as:
(i) Radio room
(ii) Gallery
(iii) Open Hall
(iv) Offices

3.0 Items for Bidding: Contactors are mandatory required to enclose alongside the tender, the following documents;
(i) Cash flow propgramme and projection period for the project.
(ii) Evidence of payment of Tender processing fee.

4.0 Tender Qualifications: This invitation is open only to contractors who have been earlier pre-qualified vide our advertisement on the Tide and This Day Newspapers of 17th August, 2012.
Contractors are requested to bid once only

5.0 General: Tender documents can be obtained from the office of the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics of this Ministry at Room 1111 on the 11th Floor, point Block, State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt with evidence of payment of a non-refundable tender fee of N150,000.00 in bank draft made payable to Rivers State Government.

Closing Date:
All tender documents shall be signed, sealed, marked at the top left corner “Tender tor Construction of Conference Hall/Office Complex” and addressed to:

“The Honourabie Commissioner; Ministry of Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Point BIock 11th Floor; State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt" and delivered not later than 12.00 noon on Thursday 18th October, 2012.

Opening of Bids: All bids will be opened on Thursday 18th October, 2012 by 2.00pm. Only successful tenders shall be contacted. Note that the Ministry is not bound to accept the lowest tender and that tenders submitted after the closing date and time will not be accepted.
